SEO for web designers on WordPress, Elementor, Framer and code

, Founder · Updated

For web designers, XeoRank handles SEO inside the builder you already use. It audits the site you built, and an AI agent fixes titles, meta descriptions, headings, schema and images on WordPress and Elementor, Framer and code sites, with new WordPress pages saved as drafts and Framer changes staged until you publish.

It also keeps each client's brand kit in one place and can apply it to Elementor's global colours, fonts and Theme Style. You run it from Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor or VS Code through the XeoRank MCP server.

Who it is for

  • Freelance designers and small studios building on WordPress with Elementor.
  • Framer designers who hand sites over to clients.
  • Designers and developers shipping Next.js or other code sites on Vercel.

The Elementor, WordPress and Framer pages cover each platform in detail.

A pre-launch SEO pass

Before you hand a site over, ask the agent to crawl it and fix what it finds. The crawler checks the things that are easy to miss at launch: HTTPS and viewport problems, missing titles, meta descriptions and H1s, alt text, broken links and redirect chains, canonical tags that point to the page's own URL spelled differently, and pages whose unique content is missing from the server HTML. Crawls started from the dashboard can render JavaScript in a headless browser, so builder-heavy pages are checked as visitors see them; crawls your agent starts read the server HTML.

At site level it also looks for duplicate titles and H1s, duplicate content and canonical collapse. Issues go into a fix queue, and the agent works through them with you.

Then check speed on the pages that matter. Core Web Vitals are measured one URL at a time, mobile by default or desktop, with PageSpeed lab data and Chrome UX Report field data when it exists. For a redesign that changes URLs, the free redirect checker and sitemap checker confirm old URLs land where they should.

Schema for client sites

Typical structured data for a client site is Organization or LocalBusiness for the company, FAQPage where a page answers questions, Article for blog posts and Product for shops. The agent generates Organization, LocalBusiness, FAQPage and Article JSON-LD from what is actually on each page, so it does not invent an address, and on WordPress it can place the markup on the page, with your AI assistant asking before each tool call. On Framer it goes into the project's custom code. For a quick one-off, or for Product markup, the free schema markup generator covers the same types.

Brand kits

Store each client's brand guideline in XeoRank, whatever platform the site is on: colours with their roles, fonts, a heading and body type scale, links, buttons, forms and layout widths. Export it as an HTML guidelines document, JSON or CSS variables.

On WordPress, the agent can apply the kit to Elementor's global colours, fonts and Theme Style, so headings, body text, links, buttons and form fields follow it across the site. Because that changes every page, it asks for confirmation first, and on a site that already has a customised kit it shows you the current one and asks again before overwriting it. On a code site, the CSS variables can be committed to the repository's stylesheet.

Approvals and handover

Client sign-off fits the same guard rails:

  1. Writes are off for each WordPress site until you enable them.
  2. New pages are saved as drafts; edits to an existing page change it directly.
  3. Every page-content edit keeps a snapshot, and any snapshot can be restored.
  4. The agent can create a preview link that you send to the client before anything is published.

For ongoing work, invite the client to your workspace. Members are read-only unless they are given write access, so a client can follow the audit and reports without changing anything through XeoRank.

If you sell an SEO retainer after launch, the Search Console business report covers clicks, impressions, CTR, branded versus non-branded traffic, and top queries and landing pages, and exports as a PDF or Google Doc. On Growth you can issue it under your studio's name; see white-label reports.

What it does not do

  • It is not a site builder. It edits inside Elementor, Framer or your repository, and the design decisions stay yours.
  • It does not keep snapshots for Framer. Framer publishing also ships every staged change in the project, including edits made in the editor, so check what is staged first.
  • It does not open pull requests on code sites. Commits go to the default branch and deploy.
  • The brand kit apply step targets Elementor's global settings. For other themes and builders, export the kit as CSS variables and apply it yourself.
  • It does not suggest internal links between existing pages. It flags pages with no internal links, and you choose the links.

Pricing

Starter is $19 a month for one site, with a 14-day free trial and no card to start. Pro is $49 a month and Growth is $109 a month. See pricing for what each plan includes.

Questions

What SEO should a web designer handle before launch?
The technical basics: indexable pages with no stray noindex, correct canonical tags, HTTPS, a mobile viewport, a clear title, meta description and H1 on each page, alt text, working links and redirects, schema where it fits, and acceptable Core Web Vitals. XeoRank's crawler reports pages without HTTPS or a mobile viewport, missing titles, meta descriptions and H1s, images without alt text, broken links, redirect chains and conflicting canonical tags; Core Web Vitals are measured per URL, and its AI agent can fix what it finds.
Can XeoRank edit Elementor pages without breaking the layout?
It writes native Elementor containers and widgets instead of one block of HTML, so the page stays editable in Elementor. Every page-content edit keeps a snapshot you can restore if a layout looks wrong.
Does XeoRank work with Framer?
Yes. Connect the project with a Framer API key and the agent can manage CMS items, edit page text, add custom code such as JSON-LD, upload images and publish to staging or production, without the editor open.
What is a brand kit in XeoRank?
A stored brand guideline for a client: colours, fonts, type scale, buttons, forms and layout. You can export it as an HTML guidelines document, JSON or CSS variables, and on WordPress the agent can apply it to Elementor's global colours, fonts and Theme Style after you confirm.
Can clients approve changes before they go live?
Yes, for new pages: they are created as drafts, and the agent can make a preview link you send to the client. Edits to an existing page change it directly, but writes stay off until you enable them for the site, and every page-content edit keeps a snapshot you can restore.
