Elementor SEO with an AI agent: edit real Elementor pages, not just posts
Vikas Chamarthi, Founder · Updated
Elementor sites are where most SEO advice stops being practical. The fix is easy to describe and slow to make: a page needs a real H1, the FAQ section needs schema, the hero text should answer the question people search. On an Elementor page each of those changes means opening the editor, finding the right widget inside nested containers, and hoping you did not break the mobile layout.
XeoRank lets an AI assistant make those changes for you. Connect the XeoRank MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor, install the free XeoRank Connector plugin on the site, and the assistant can read and edit Elementor pages as native Elementor elements. Your AI assistant asks before each tool call, and writes stay off for the site until you turn them on.
Elementor now ships its own MCP server in Elementor 4.3, which edits pages built with V4 atomic elements. XeoRank edits classic and atomic pages and adds the SEO work around them. Elementor MCP: setup, limits and alternatives compares the two.
What the agent can change on an Elementor page
- Headings and copy. Rewrite an H1, fix a heading hierarchy that jumps from H2 to H5, or rewrite a section so it answers the question a buyer types into ChatGPT.
- SEO head. Title tag and meta description, written to the SEO plugin the site already uses: Yoast, Rank Math or All in One SEO.
- Schema. Add Organization, FAQPage, Article or LocalBusiness JSON-LD without pasting code into an HTML widget.
- Sections and widgets. Replace one section, add an FAQ accordion, insert an icon list or a testimonial block. The assistant writes native containers and widgets, so the page stays editable in Elementor.
- Site-wide styles. Apply a brand kit to Elementor's global colours, fonts and Theme Style, or add site-wide CSS and JavaScript.
- Whole pages. Clone a page that converts, change the city, product or offer, and save it as a draft for you to review.
Why native elements matter
The quick way to get AI-written content into Elementor is to paste HTML into a single HTML widget. It looks fine until someone needs to change a button colour, and then nobody can edit the page in Elementor any more. XeoRank does not do that. It writes containers, headings, text editors, buttons, images, icon boxes, accordions and the rest as real Elementor elements, using the element schema of the Elementor version installed on the site. That includes Elementor 4's atomic elements, where the expected text format changes between versions and getting it wrong leaves the editor showing blank widgets.
Approval and rollback
Every write passes through the same guard rails:
- Writes are off until you enable them for the site.
- New pages and page clones are saved as drafts; edits to an existing page change that page directly.
- Each change to a page's content stores a snapshot first, up to 20 per page, and any snapshot can be restored. SEO meta and site-wide custom code are not snapshotted.
- The assistant can send a preview link before you publish.
A typical session
"Audit the /services page on our Elementor site for SEO. Fix the heading order, add FAQPage schema for the questions already on the page, and rewrite the intro so it answers 'how much does a kitchen remodel cost in Austin'. Show me the changes before publishing."
The assistant runs the audit, prepares the edits, shows you what will change, and writes them when you say yes. If the result looks wrong on mobile, it restores the previous snapshot.

Questions
- Does XeoRank work with Elementor Pro?
- Yes. Pro widgets such as forms, price tables, call-to-action boxes and testimonial carousels are used when the site has Elementor Pro. If it does not, XeoRank builds the closest version from free widgets instead of leaving a broken element on the page.
- Does it support Elementor's V4 atomic editor?
- Yes. XeoRank reads which Elementor version the site runs and writes atomic elements in the format that version expects, so text stays editable in the Elementor editor afterwards.
- Will the edited page still be editable in Elementor?
- Yes. Sections are written as native containers and widgets, not as one block of HTML, so you and your team can keep editing them in Elementor as normal.
- What do I need to install?
- The free XeoRank Connector plugin on the WordPress site, and the XeoRank MCP server in your AI assistant. Writes stay off until you enable them for that site.
