Peec AI alternatives: five tools compared on price per prompt, engines and site work
Anjaneyulu Jadda, SEO and AI visibility · Updated
The main alternatives to Peec AI are Otterly.AI if you want a lower entry price, AthenaHQ or Profound if you want more AI engines, the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit if you already pay for Semrush, and XeoRank if you also need technical SEO and an agent that edits your site. Which one fits depends on why Peec is not working for you, so this page starts there.
We make XeoRank, one of the tools below. Every price and feature on this page was checked on the vendor's own pricing page or documentation on 13 October 2026. Prices change, so confirm before you buy.
The short answer
Stay with Peec AI if your job is measurement and someone else handles the site, since it includes unlimited users and one of the most complete MCP servers we have seen. If price per prompt is the problem and your prompt list is short, Otterly or Semrush may cost less. If the three-model limit is the problem, AthenaHQ covers more engines on a self-serve plan. If nobody acts on the report, XeoRank audits and edits the site too.
Why people look for a Peec AI alternative
Peec AI's pricing page lists Starter at $95 a month ($80 billed annually) for 50 prompts, Pro at $245 for 150 prompts and Advanced at $495 for 350 prompts. The reasons people go looking elsewhere tend to be these.
Price per prompt. At $95 for 50 prompts, Starter works out to $1.90 per prompt per month by our arithmetic from that page. That is fair value for daily tracking, but a small business that only needs 15 or 20 questions pays for capacity it does not use.
The three-model limit on Starter. Starter lets you choose three models. Peec names ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Mode on its pricing page, and AI Overview appears in its docs. Enterprise lists up to 13 models. If you want four or more engines tracked side by side, the entry plan will not cover it.
No site audit. Peec does not crawl your site, track keyword rankings or connect Google Search Console. It does report crawler activity from server logs and AI referrals from Google Analytics, which is useful, but it will not tell you a page has a broken canonical or missing schema.
No publishing. Peec does not publish to a CMS or edit pages. Once the report shows a gap, someone else has to make the change.
What Peec AI does well
Before switching, weigh what you would lose. Peec has three real strengths.
Its MCP server lists 51 read tools and 48 write tools for prompts, brands, tags, topics and products. That makes it one of the most complete MCP servers we have seen for managing a tracking setup from Claude or another AI assistant.
Every plan includes unlimited users, which matters for agencies and marketing teams where several people need to see the data.
Tracking runs daily. XeoRank, for comparison, checks weekly, and AI answers vary from run to run, so daily data gives you more samples to judge a trend.

The alternatives in more detail
XeoRank
XeoRank combines AI visibility tracking with a technical SEO audit and an agent that changes the site. Pro is $49 per site a month on our pricing page, which shows what each plan includes. XeoRank asks ChatGPT, Gemini (grounded in Google Search) and Perplexity your buyer questions and reports each engine separately, next to an overall rate. It also tracks 100 keywords weekly and includes the site crawler, Core Web Vitals, Search Console and GA4.
Through the XeoRank MCP server, Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor can edit existing WordPress pages, including Elementor layouts, and Framer and code sites. Your AI assistant asks before each change, WordPress writes are off for each site until you turn them on, and every change to a WordPress page's content is snapshotted so it can be rolled back.
Where it is weaker than Peec: fewer engines than Peec Enterprise, and no prompt-volume data.
Best for teams that need the site audited and edited, not only measured. Skip it if you want prompt-volume data.
AthenaHQ
AthenaHQ Starter is $295 a month for 3,600 credits across 11 engines, including Claude, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral. A free Essential plan gives $25 of credit on five engines. It publishes posts to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Wix, Framer, Payload, Sanity and Contentful, and its WordPress integration also updates existing posts. Its crawler audits public pages for JavaScript dependence, title tags, structured data and AI crawler access, but a full technical SEO crawl and rank tracking are not described, and API access is a paid add-on to the Starter plan.
Best for teams that need more engines on a self-serve plan and publish new posts to a CMS. Skip it if you need a full technical SEO crawl or rank tracking.
Otterly.AI
Otterly Lite is about $25 to $29 a month (both figures appear on its pricing page) for 15 prompts, with ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot included. It runs GEO audits of single URLs for crawlability, bot access and page speed. It is the cheapest way to start, but 15 prompts is a short list. See our Otterly alternatives page.
Best for teams that want the cheapest way to start. Skip it if you need more than a short prompt list.
Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit
The AI Visibility Toolkit is $99 a month per domain, billed annually, for 25 custom prompts on ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity. If your team already works in Semrush, it keeps the data in one place. Site Audit and Position Tracking sit in the separate SEO Toolkit. More on this in Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit alternatives.
Best for teams that already work in Semrush. Skip it if you want site audits in the same purchase.
Profound
Profound shows no public price beyond a 7-day trial and a custom Enterprise plan with up to nine engines. Its MCP server is on Enterprise. It suits large brands more than teams that left Peec over price. See Profound alternatives.
Best for large brands. Skip it if you left Peec over price.
When to stay with Peec AI
Stay with Peec if your job is measurement and someone else handles the site. It is a good fit if you want daily data, need many people logged in without per-seat fees, or plan to manage prompts, tags and topics from an AI assistant through its MCP server. If your team already has an SEO crawler and a developer to make changes, adding those to Peec may cost less than switching.
Best for teams whose job is measurement while someone else handles the site. Skip it if you need a site audit, rank tracking or someone to make the changes.
How to choose
- If price per prompt is the problem, compare what you actually need. If 15 to 25 prompts is enough, Otterly or Semrush may cost less. If you need 50 or more, Peec Starter costs less per prompt than Semrush on the numbers above.
- If three engines is the problem, AthenaHQ covers 11 on a self-serve plan; Peec Enterprise and Profound cover more on custom pricing.
- If the problem is that nobody acts on the report, pick a tool that audits and edits the site too. That is the gap XeoRank was built for.
Whichever tool you trial, run the same 20 buyer questions in two of them and compare the citations they report. Our guide to the best AI visibility tools covers more options.
Sources and how we compared
We compared each tool using its own pricing page, feature pages and help documentation, all checked on 13 October 2026. For each one we recorded the lowest paid plan, how many prompts it includes, the AI engines it tracks, its technical SEO coverage, whether it can change your website, and whether it offers an MCP server.
Where two of a vendor's own pages disagree, we show both figures. We did not buy every plan, so features behind a sales call are described from the vendor's documentation. XeoRank is our product, and its details come from our own pricing page and documentation.
