Otterly.AI alternatives: five tools compared once 15 prompts is not enough
Anjaneyulu Jadda, SEO and AI visibility · Updated
The usual alternatives to Otterly.AI are Peec AI for more prompts and daily tracking, the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit for teams already on Semrush, AthenaHQ for more engines, and XeoRank if you also need technical SEO and an agent that edits your site. Otterly's own strength is price: its Lite plan is the lowest-priced paid AI visibility tracker we found.
We make XeoRank, one of the tools compared here. Every price below comes from the vendor's own page, checked on 13 October 2026. Prices change, so confirm before you buy.
The short answer
Stay with Otterly if you need a first look at AI visibility for a small set of questions on ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity or Copilot, and you do not need the tool to fix anything. If you outgrow its prompt limit, compare Otterly Standard with Peec AI. Teams already on Semrush can keep the data in one place with its toolkit, AthenaHQ covers more engines, and XeoRank fits if your Otterly audits find problems that nobody fixes.
Why people look for an Otterly alternative
Otterly's pricing page lists Lite at $29 a month in one place and $25 in another, so expect about $25 to $29 for 15 prompts. Standard is $189 for 100 prompts and Premium is $489 for 400 prompts, with 15% off for annual billing. Two limits push people to look around.
Fifteen prompts on Lite. A useful prompt list covers the questions buyers ask at each stage, for each product and each market. Fifteen fills up quickly, and the next step up is Standard at $189, a large jump.
Engine add-ons. Lite includes ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot. Google AI Mode and Gemini are $9 a month each and Claude is $29 a month. Adding all three to Lite takes the total to about $72 to $76 a month by our arithmetic from that page.
No rank tracking or Search Console. Otterly runs GEO audits of single URLs, checking crawlability, bot access and page speed, with 1,000 audits a month on Lite. It does not track keyword rankings or connect Google Search Console, and it does not edit your site.
What Otterly does well
Otterly is the cheapest way to see whether AI engines mention you at all, with a 14-day free trial and no card required (source). Every plan includes unlimited members. Copilot is included, which several alternatives, XeoRank among them, do not track. The URL audits are a quick check on whether AI crawlers can reach a page.
Its MCP server, available from Standard, is mostly read-only, and since 21 July 2026 it can also create, update and delete prompts and tags (source).

The alternatives in more detail
XeoRank
XeoRank pairs AI visibility tracking with a technical SEO audit and an agent that edits the site. Starter is $19 a month on our pricing page with a 14-day free trial and no card, and Pro is $49 per site a month. XeoRank asks ChatGPT, Gemini (grounded in Google Search) and Perplexity your buyer questions and reports each engine separately; the pricing page shows what each plan includes. Pro also tracks 100 keywords and includes the crawler, Core Web Vitals, Search Console and GA4.
Where Otterly stops at the audit, XeoRank's MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor fix what it finds on existing WordPress pages, including Elementor, and on Framer and code sites. Your AI assistant asks before each change, WordPress writes are off per site until you enable them, and every change to a WordPress page's content can be restored.
Where XeoRank is weaker: it does not track Claude, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek or Meta AI, Pro costs more than Otterly Lite, and there is no prompt-volume data. Tracking is weekly.
Best for teams whose Otterly audits find problems that nobody fixes. Skip it if you need Copilot tracked or the lowest monthly price.
Peec AI
Peec AI Starter is $95 a month ($80 annual) for 50 prompts tracked daily on three models you choose, with unlimited users. Its MCP server has 51 read and 48 write tools. It has no site audit or publishing. See Peec AI alternatives.
Best for teams that need more prompts and unlimited users. Skip it if you also want your site audited or content published.
Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit
The AI Visibility Toolkit is $99 a month per domain, billed annually, for 25 prompts on ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity. It makes sense if you already use Semrush. See Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit alternatives.
Best for teams that already use Semrush.
AthenaHQ
AthenaHQ has a free plan with $25 of credit on five engines, and Starter at $295 a month covers 11 engines and publishes posts to eight CMSs. It is a step up in price from Otterly with far wider coverage. See AthenaHQ alternatives.
Best for teams that want far wider engine coverage and can pay more.
Ahrefs Brand Radar
Brand Radar tracks AI mentions from $199 a month on the USD pricing page, which says it is available as a standalone tool that comes with a free Ahrefs account. Ahrefs Lite, at $129, includes 5 tracked AI prompts of its own, and core Ahrefs has Site Audit and Rank Tracker.
Best for teams that want AI mentions inside Ahrefs, next to Site Audit and Rank Tracker.
When to stay with Otterly
Stay with Otterly if you need a first look at AI visibility for a small set of questions, your buyers mostly use ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity or Copilot, and you do not need the tool to fix anything. For 15 prompts on those four engines, nothing we checked costs less. If you need Copilot specifically, Otterly includes it and XeoRank does not.
Best for teams starting out with a short list of buyer questions. Skip it if you need the tool to fix anything.
How to choose
- If you outgrow 15 prompts, compare Otterly Standard at $189 for 100 prompts with Peec Starter at $95 for 50. The right one depends on how many prompts you really need.
- If you keep paying for engine add-ons, price the total. Lite with every add-on costs about $72 to $76 a month.
- If your Otterly audits find problems that nobody fixes, pick a tool that does the SEO work and the edits. That is what XeoRank was built for.

Sources and how we compared
We compared each tool using its own pricing page, feature pages and help documentation, all checked on 13 October 2026. For each one we recorded the lowest paid plan, how many prompts it includes, the AI engines included, its technical SEO coverage, whether it can change your website, and whether it offers an MCP server.
Where two of a vendor's own pages disagree, we show both figures. We did not buy every plan, so features behind a sales call are described from the vendor's documentation. XeoRank is our product, and its details come from our own pricing page and documentation.
