Google Search Console integration: a GSC SEO tool for your queries, pages and index status
Vikas Chamarthi, Founder · Updated
XeoRank's Google Search Console integration pulls your search queries, which page ranks for each query, URL inspection results, sitemap status and index coverage into one workspace, where you or your AI assistant can act on them. It works as a GSC SEO tool for the jobs Search Console's own interface leaves to you: turning queries into a content plan, writing a client report, and fixing the pages behind the numbers.
Connect with your Google account, or add XeoRank's service account to the property, then run a sync.
Who it is for
- Site owners who check Search Console but do not have time to turn its data into actions.
- In-house SEO and content leads who want query data next to crawl results, rankings and AI visibility.
- Agencies managing client properties, who need a readable report and a way to connect properties the client owns.
- Anyone working in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor who wants the assistant to read Search Console directly.
What XeoRank syncs
| Data | What you can do with it |
|---|---|
| Queries with clicks, impressions, CTR and position | See what you rank for, where, and how often you are clicked |
| Query-to-page mapping | Know which page ranks for which query, and spot two pages competing for one |
| URL inspections | Check whether a page is indexed and what Google found when it crawled it |
| Sitemaps | See each submitted sitemap's status, errors and warnings |
| Coverage | Of the URLs XeoRank has inspected, see how many Google reports as indexed, excluded or in error |
Data is as fresh as your last sync. You can sync from the dashboard, ask your AI assistant to do it, or run xyle sync from the CLI.
The business report
From a site's Reports tab you can generate a business report for a period you choose, compared with the previous period. It covers:
- clicks, impressions, CTR and average position;
- branded versus non-branded searches, with brand terms you enter for the report, so growth from people who already know you is kept apart from growth from new searchers;
- top queries and top landing pages;
- a written narrative that explains the changes.
If Google Analytics 4 is connected, the report includes GA4 data alongside Search Console. It exports as a PDF or as a Google Doc in your Google Drive. On the Growth plan you can issue it under your agency's name; see white-label reports.
Search Console data in the rest of XeoRank
The sync is not only for reports. The same data feeds:
- Content opportunities. Queries where you sit on page two, or rank on page one but earn few clicks, and rising queries are ranked as things to write or improve. See content briefs.
- Content gaps. Pages ranking in positions 4 to 30 are compared with rival pages to find missing topics. See content gap analysis.
- Tracked keywords. You can seed tracked keywords from the queries the site already gets, then group them with keyword clustering.
- Briefs. A content brief lists related queries and your own ranking pages as internal-link targets.
GA4 alongside Search Console
Search Console tells you how people find you in Google. GA4 tells you what they do next. With both connected, XeoRank shows sessions, users, engagement, key events and channels, plus AI referral traffic from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Copilot with growth against the prior period. GA4 has no plan gate.
Search Console and AI answers
Google's guidance on AI features in Search says the usual SEO best practices still apply to AI Overviews and AI Mode, and that no special schema or AI text files are needed. That keeps Search Console's query and page data at the centre of the work. For AI answers, XeoRank asks ChatGPT, Gemini (grounded in Google Search) and Perplexity your buyer questions in its AI visibility feature, and reports each engine separately, next to an overall rate and apart from your Search Console numbers.
Ask your AI assistant
Connect the XeoRank MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and the assistant can read your Search Console data in the chat. A few requests it handles:
"Which queries get impressions for /pricing at positions 4 to 20? Suggest a title and meta description that target them."
"Inspect the five blog posts that lost the most clicks this month and tell me whether any of them have indexing problems."
"List my sitemaps and any errors Search Console reports for them."
See SEO with Claude for the setup.
How to connect it
- Add the site in XeoRank.
- In the site's settings, choose Connect with Google and sign in with a Google account that can see the Search Console property. Your XeoRank login does not need to match that Google account.
- If the property belongs to someone else, for example a client, they can add XeoRank's service account email as a user with Full permission under Users and permissions in Search Console. Then choose Verify and sync in XeoRank.
- Run the first sync. Your site shows its synced queries when it finishes.
What it does not do
- It does not submit sitemaps or request indexing. It reads sitemap status and inspection results; you submit and request in Search Console.
- It does not show data Search Console does not provide. XeoRank works from what the Search Console API returns for your property.
- It does not change anything in your Search Console account. The integration reads data.
- White-label report exports are on Growth only. On Starter and Pro, reports carry the XeoRank name.
Pricing
The Search Console integration works on every plan. Starter is $19 a month for one site, with a 14-day free trial and no card to start. Pro is $49 a month and Growth is $109 a month. See pricing for details.
Questions
- What does the XeoRank Google Search Console integration sync?
- Your search queries with clicks, impressions, CTR and position, which page ranks for each query, URL inspection results, your sitemaps with their status and errors, and index coverage for the URLs XeoRank has inspected. That data then feeds reports, content opportunities, content gaps and tracked keywords.
- How do I connect Search Console?
- Open the site's settings in XeoRank and choose Connect with Google, then sign in with a Google account that can see the property. If the property belongs to someone who will not sign in, they can add XeoRank's service account email as a user with Full permission in Search Console instead, and you verify and sync from XeoRank.
- Does it work with domain properties?
- Yes. Domain properties and URL-prefix properties both work, and XeoRank matches the property to the site for you.
- Can XeoRank submit my sitemap or request indexing?
- No. XeoRank reads sitemap status and URL inspection results from Search Console, but it does not submit sitemaps or request indexing. You do those in Search Console itself.
- Is the Search Console integration included on every plan?
- Yes, from Starter at $19 a month for one site, with a 14-day free trial and no card to start. White-label exports of the business report are on Growth. See the pricing page for details.
