Search Console reporting tool that works on top of your Google data

, SEO · Updated

XeoRank is a Search Console reporting tool: it connects to your Google Search Console property, syncs the data, and turns it into written reports, query-to-page views and lists of pages worth fixing. If you are searching for a Google Search Console alternative, be aware that XeoRank works on top of Search Console rather than replacing it, because every search number it shows comes from your Search Console property.

Google Search Console is described by Google as "a free service offered by Google" for monitoring and troubleshooting your site in Google Search. Keep using it. XeoRank is for the work that comes after reading the numbers: explaining them to someone else, finding the pages to improve, and making the changes.

Who it is for

  • Site owners who find the Search Console interface hard to turn into decisions.
  • Agencies that send regular reports to clients and would rather not write each one by hand.
  • Teams that want to ask an AI assistant about their search data in plain language instead of building filters.
  • Developers who want Search Console data in a terminal or a script: the xyle CLI (npm package @xyleapp/cli) has search-console, queries and sync commands, and the REST API is at https://api.xeorank.com.

What XeoRank syncs from Search Console

When you connect a site, XeoRank can sync:

  • queries, with clicks, impressions, CTR and average position;
  • query-to-page mapping, so you can see which page each query lands on;
  • URL inspection results, showing Google's index status for specific pages;
  • sitemaps, with their status and any errors Google reports;
  • index coverage, counted over the URLs XeoRank has inspected: how many Google reports as indexed, excluded or in error.

You or your AI assistant run a sync when you want fresh data, for example before generating a report.

The business report

The report is written for someone who will not open Search Console. Pick a site and a period, and the report compares it with the previous one:

  • clicks, impressions, CTR and average position;
  • branded versus non-branded traffic, using brand terms you enter when you generate the report, so growth from people who already know the business is kept apart from growth from new searchers;
  • top queries and top landing pages, with the previous period's figures next to each;
  • a written narrative explaining what changed;
  • GA4 data, when Google Analytics is connected (see GA4 reporting).

Each report exports as a PDF or as a Google Doc saved to your Google Drive, where you can add notes before sending it. On the Growth plan you can issue the report under your agency's name; white-label reports explains what that covers and what it does not.

From data to fixes

Reports describe the past. The more useful step is deciding what to change, and Search Console data feeds three parts of XeoRank:

  1. Content opportunities. Queries where you sit on page two, pages with impressions but a low click-through rate, and queries that are rising are pulled out as candidates for a new or improved page.
  2. Content gap analysis. For pages ranking in positions 4 to 30 where rival pages are on file, XeoRank lists per query the topics you are missing, whether CTR is the problem, your position bucket, how many competitors rank, and your word count against theirs.
  3. Your AI assistant. With the XeoRank MCP server connected, you can ask: "Which queries get impressions at positions 4 to 20 for /pricing? Rewrite the title and meta description to match them." On WordPress, the assistant writes the change to Yoast, Rank Math or All in One SEO, and your AI client asks you to allow each write first. Writes are off for each site until you turn them on. SEO title and meta changes are not snapshotted, so ask the assistant to read the current values first (wp_get_seo_meta) if you may want them back.

Setting it up

  1. Add the site in XeoRank.
  2. Connect Google Search Console with a Google account that has access to the site's property.
  3. Run a sync, from the dashboard or by asking your AI assistant.
  4. Set your brand terms, so branded and non-branded traffic are split correctly. A business whose name is also a common word needs this most.
  5. Generate the report for the period you want (Starter includes 2 reports a month, Pro 50, Growth 200) and export it as a PDF or a Google Doc.

If you also connect GA4, the same report carries sessions and engagement next to clicks and impressions.

What it does not do

  • It does not replace Search Console. Without a connected Search Console property there are no clicks, impressions or query data to report on.
  • It does not have data Google does not provide. If Search Console does not report a query or a page, XeoRank cannot show it either.
  • It does not request indexing or submit removals on your behalf.
  • It does not report on Bing or other search engines.
  • It does not offer a client login portal. You send the PDF or Google Doc yourself.

Pricing

Starter is $19 a month for one site, with a 14-day free trial and no card needed. Pro is $49 a month and Growth is $109 a month, and white-label reports are on Growth. See pricing for what each plan includes.

Questions

Is XeoRank a Google Search Console alternative?
Not in the sense of replacing it. XeoRank reads its search numbers from your Google Search Console property, so you still need Search Console set up and verified. What XeoRank adds is reporting and action on top: written reports, query-to-page views, content opportunities and an AI assistant that can make fixes, asking you before each tool call.
What Search Console data does XeoRank sync?
Queries, which page each query lands on, URL inspection results, sitemaps with their status and errors, and an index coverage summary built from the URL inspections XeoRank has run. You or your AI assistant run a sync to bring the latest data in.
What is in the XeoRank Search Console report?
Clicks, impressions, CTR and average position compared with the previous period, branded versus non-branded traffic using brand terms you set, top queries and top landing pages with the previous period's figures, and a written narrative. If GA4 is connected, its data is included. Reports export as a PDF or a Google Doc in your Drive.
Can I send Search Console reports to clients under my agency's name?
Yes, on the Growth plan. An Issue under toggle replaces the XeoRank name on the exported report with your organization's name. Starter and Pro reports are branded XeoRank.
Can my AI assistant answer questions about my Search Console data?
Yes. Connect the XeoRank MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor or VS Code and ask questions such as which queries reach page two for a given URL. The assistant reads the synced data and answers, and it can draft title and meta changes for you to approve.
